Bobbie Jean Frost Hammond, 73, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9. She was born on Oct. 4, 1950, in Lebanon, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Onnie J. and Jean H. Hardin Frost.

On Sept. 7, 1974, she was united in marriage to Bobby O. Hammond, who survives.

Mrs. Bobbie owned and operated Bobbie’s Embroidery Designs and sold beautiful children’s clothing, monogramming and gifts. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Savannah. She was very active in the church, teaching Acteens and Bible drills for years, and took many of the youth to Bible Drill Competitions. She was also very active in the church’s Decorating Committee and Hospitality Committee. Bobbie also had a love for flower arrangements and decorating and was very gifted at both. Bobbie was a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family very much.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bobby Hammond of Savannah; sons, Brian F. Hammond and his wife Kim, and Christopher A. Hammond and his wife Julia; brother, Onnie (Jerald) Frost; sister, Nancy Simons; and grandchildren, Parker Hammond, Carson Hammond, Caleb Hammond, Ella Hammond, Isabel Hammond, Natalie Hammond and Bailey Hammond.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her brother, Jim H. Frost.

Memorial services were held on Monday, Nov. 13, at First Baptist Church in Savannah, with Andrew Bosak and Eric Jones officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
