Butonne Tyler Scott, 95, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, March 24. She was born on Nov. 13, 1927, in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Cliff and Alma Sue Strawn Tyler.

On Sept. 23, 1950, she was united in marriage to Fred Ray Phillips, who preceded his wife in death. She was later united in marriage to Willie Warren Scott, who preceded his wife in death on May 29, 2004.

Mrs. Scott was a member of Crump United Methodist Church in Crump. She was a seamstress and worked as a caretaker for children and immediate family members, including her mother, nephew and sister. She loved her flowers and her garden.

She is survived by her brother, Arnold Tyler (Evelyn) of Crump; nephew, Ben Tyler (Melinda Jones) of Savannah; great-niece, Megan Richards and her children, Karlie and Kori Richards, all of Savannah; and great-nephew, Jake Tyler of Savannah.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Sue Tyler, Carl Wayne Tyler, Paul C. Tyler and Lowell W. Tyler.

Memorial services were held on Monday, March 27, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Thad Calton officiating. Burial followed at Crump Cemetery in Crump.
