Carl Newman (4-22-23) service 4-26-23

Carl Haynes Newman, 84, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, formerly of Morris Chapel, passed away on Saturday, April 22, the son of the late George Odell and Ruthie Haynes Newman.

He was united in marriage to Pauline White Newman, who preceded her husband in death.

Mr. Newman honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961-1967, achieving the rank of E-4 in the Army. He later worked for Trunkline Gas Company as the area superintendent. He was a member of Imanuel Baptist Church and Mason Lodge.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Newman and Charles Newman; and sisters, Levalle Newman Holley and Freda Newman Nixon..

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, April 26, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Reggie Coleman officiating. Burial followed at Milledgeville Cemetery in Milledgeville.
