Cindy Kim Johnson Tyler, 61, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, June 12, and went home to be with our Lord Jesus. She was born on April 11, 1962 in Savannah, to the late Lane Ward Johnson and Earline Weatherford Johnson. The sister of the late Dale Malone Johnson of Savannah.

Ms. Tyler is a member of Cherry Chapel Church. She loved her church family and always looked forward to narrating the annual Christmas program. She is a retired school teacher from the Hardin County Schools. Cindy was a true patriot to our country and loved the history of our nation. Her greatest passion was to defend the unborn children. Every Sunday in church she always requested prayer for all the babies.

She is survived by her most loved son, Jacob Paul Tyler of Savannah; three sisters, Kathy E. Black (John) of Jackson, Tennessee, Janice L. Turnbow (Donny) of Savannah, and Rhonda C. Duren (Chuck) of Savannah; sister-in-law, Martha Johnson of Savannah; four nieces; four nephews; four great-nieces; and twelve great-nephews.

She loved her family and she loved her little dog Audrey. But most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was forever grateful to Him for all He had done for her. Now she is at home, forever with Jesus and our loved ones.

Memorial services were held on Thursday, June 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Randy Weatherington officiating. Burial followed at Johnson Cemetery in Hardin County.
