DJ Barrier (4-23-23) service 4-27-23

D J Barrier, 71, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, April 23. He was born on March 12, 1952, in Hardin County, the son of the late Bobby Dean and Mildred Della Scott Barrier.

Mr. Barrier worked on the towboat as an engineer and later worked for List 4 Less Realty. He enjoyed going shopping and loved finding a good deal. D J loved to talk and visit with people anywhere he went. He never met a stranger and always had a good story to tell. The greatest joy in his life was his grandbabies, Chelsea, Paityn and Logan. He loved spending time with them every chance he could and he loved them so much.

He is survived by his son, Brennan Barrier and his wife Lindsey; daughter, Cinnamon Barrier; grandchildren, Chelsea Barrier, Paityn Barrier and Logan Barrier; brother, David Barrier; and sisters, Debra White and Kathy LaRue.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dewey Lynn Barrier and Aaron Glenn Barrier; and his sister, Bobbie Ann Swaffer.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 1 p.m., at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, with Daniel Holt officiating. Burial will follow at White’s Creek Cemetery in Savannah.
