Donnie Wesson (2-2-23) service 3-8-23

Donnie Joe Wesson, 81, of Adamsville, passed away on Thursday, March 2, the son of the late Elmer and Myrtle Kathleen Banks Wesson.

He was united in marriage to Lillie Pearl Stricklin Wesson, who survives.

Mr. Wesson honorably served his country in the United States National Guard for eight years. He worked in carpentry until he got injured in 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Pearl Stricklin Wesson of Adamsville; daughters, JoAnn Alexander, Laura Gail Stone and Donna Mae Trull; sister, Barbara McConnell; brothers, Bobby Dan Wesson and Jimmy Wesson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maudie Ruth Wesson; brothers, Kenneth Ray Wesson, Billy Wesson Sr. and Douglas Wesson.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, March 8, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Jamie Moore officiating. Burial followed at Graham Cemetery in Savannah.
