Dorothy Cavanaugh (9-25-22) service 9-29-22

Dorothy Keel Cavanaugh, 88, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25. She is the daughter of the late William Harvey and Jewel Viola Hinton Keel.

She was united in marriage to Donald James Cavanaugh who preceded his wife in death in 2007.

Mrs. Cavanaugh was a self-employed babysitter. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Warren of Carol Stream, Illinois, Patty Bradley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Sharon Franks of Savannah; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Anderson of Savannah; and brother, Donnie Keel of Savannah.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Flora Inez Keel, Lindel Harvey Keel, Hazel Jane Keel Faull, Adda Helen Keel and Jimmy Lynn Keel.

Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Mike Anderson officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
