Dorothy Mae Bowen Campbell, 86, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 17. She is the daughter of the late Fred Thomas and Annie Mae Dennis Bowen.

She was united in marriage to Stephen Alexander Campbell, who preceded his wife in death.

Mrs. Campbell worked at Garan Manufacturing Company and was a babysitter for numerous children in Hardin County. She was a member of New Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Stricklin of Olive Hill, Tennessee; sons, Travis Campbell of Selmer, Jerry Campbell of Savannah, and Tommy Campbell of Savannah; sister, Barbara Hubbard of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; brother, Freddie Bowen of Savannah; 16 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Campbell; and sisters, Peggy Turnbow and Louise Galle.

Services were held on Friday, Dec. 23, at Living Word Fellowship in Savannah, with Jordan Clark officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
