Dorthy Lambert (8-10-23) service 8-13-23

Dorthy Lambert, 84, of Michie, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 10. She was born on April 5, 1939, in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Obie and Lucille Burks Farris.

She was united in marriage to Hansel Lambert on April 1, 1961. Mr. Lambert preceded her in death on March 8, 1980.

Mrs. Lambert was a member of Liberty church of Christ in Michie and loved her church family. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, puzzle books, fishing and family gatherings.

She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Austin and husband Keith of Selmer, Regina Sagely and husband Charles of Beech Bluff, Tennessee, and Tammy Freeman and husband Tommy of Counce; two sons, Ronald Lambert of Corinth, Mississippi, and Andy Lambert of Michie; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Melba Shaw of Michie, and Shirley Wilson of Corinth, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, and church family; special friends and neighbors, Richard and Becky Statham and Anna Mae.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Memorial services were held on Sunday, Aug.13, at Liberty Church of Christ in Michie, with Jeff Harvill officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Michie.
