Doug Towne, 80, of Bath Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 20. He is the son of the late Robert and Thelma Wilder Towne.
He was united in marriage to Linda DeForge Towne, who survives.
Mr. Towne worked in filtration at IBM and retired after 30 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Jennifer Allard and Meredith Towne; stepdaughter, Lori Martin; brother, Robert Towne; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his stepson, Jamie Martin.
Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Brent Colley officiating.
