Faye Shelton Franks, 80, of Savannah, passed away Friday, July 8. She was born in Scottsboro, Alabama, and is the daughter of the late Fred and Annie Hoge Shelton. She was united in marriage to Tommy Jack Franks, who survives.

Mrs. Franks retired as a teacher from the Hardin County Board of Education. She was involved in working with the election commission and was always involved in fund raising for the school. She was a member of Abrams Chapel United Methodist Church.

Faye is survived by her husband, Tommy Jack Franks of Savannah; children, Donna Holloway of Adamsville, Greg Franks of Savannah, Stacy Franks of Stantonville, Tennessee and Leta Bingham of Saltillo; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Selby of Scottsboro, Alabama.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jeff Bingham.

Services were held on Tuesday, July 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Herman Glen Franks, Daniel Holt and Jonah Lusk officiating. Burial followed at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Savannah.
