Gary Dale Nance, 65, of Clifton, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2., in Savannah. He was born on Feb. 5, 1958, in Savannah, the son of the late Bobby Joe Nance and Peggy Pevahouse Alley.

Mr. Nance was a logger. He worked his whole life in the timber business. He was of the Christian belief. Gary loved fishing, riding around enjoying nature, water, woods and hunting.

He is survived by his sons, Wesley Nance (Madalyn) of Clifton, and Brandon Nance of Reagan; sisters, Mary Jane Alley (Tommy) of Clifton, and Cindy Masiongale (William “Bud”) of Leoma, Tennessee; brother, Scotty Alley (Amanda) of Clifton; grandchildren, Hannah Nance, Ethan Nance, Delylah Nance and Lyvia Nance; and great-grandchild, Carter Staten.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Joe and Mickey Nance.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Prater’s Chapel in Clifton, with Shayne Riley officiating. Burial followed at Prater’s Chapel Cemetery in Clifton.
