Janet Alexander Paradies, 73, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, July 8, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Florence, Alabama, on Dece. 13, 1950, the daughter of the late John P. Jr. and Thelma Blanche McCowan Alexander.
On April 26, 1985, she was united in marriage to Abram Walter Paradies, who survives.
Janet was a retired art teacher from the Hardin County School System. She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. Janet in her spare time enjoyed doing art work, drawing and helping children discover their talents. She was an avid animal lover, especially dogs and cats.
In addition to her husband of 39 years, Abram of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by her daughter, Brittni Hooper and her husband Lee of Reagan, Tennessee; grandchildren, Bryce, Logan and Hunter Hooper; and brother, Johnny Alexander and his wife Glenda of Savannah, Tennessee.
Memorial services were held on Friday, July 12, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Barry Binion officiating. Burial followed at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah.
