Jerry Wood (7-21-23) service 7-25-23

Jerry Rolen Wood, 85, of Adamsville, passed away on Friday, July 21, to the late Norbert and Vella Wood.

He was united in marriage to Brenda Ann Perkins.

Mr. Wood graduated from Central High School in Savannah, where he played baseball, his favorite sport.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years aboard the aircraft carriers USS Enterprise and USS American.

He also owned and operated Jerry’s TV Service and Sales in Adamsville, for 43 years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda Wood; and his son, Mark Wood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, July 25, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville, with Jonathan Ferrell officiating. Burial followed at Ledbetter Cemetery in Adamsville.
