Jerry Young (3-16-23) service 3-19-23

Jerry Young, 66, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, March 16. He was born on Sept. 6, 1956, in Hardin County, the son of the late Joseph Delaine and Lillie May Petty Young.

Mr. Young worked for TVT Towing as a towboat engineer for over 20 years. He was a member of Campground United Methodist Church in Savannah, and the Savannah Moose Lodge. He enjoyed shooting pool and eating breakfast with his buddies.

He is survived by his daughters, Jenny Smith and her husband Blake, Mandy Broyles and her husband Kerry (Buck), and Sarah Mace and her husband Cody, all of Savannah, and grandchildren, Ellis Smith, Eastyn Smith, Sawyer Smith, Keagan Hopper and Norah Hunt.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Delaine Young and an infant brother.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 19, at Campground Cemetery in Savannah, with Brad Bain officiating.
