Jewelene Southern Copeland, 83, of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, the daughter of the late Frank Isaac and Martha Ann Irvin Southern.

She was united in marriage to James Parker Copeland, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Copeland spent all her life in Hardin County living in the Cerro Gordo Community on Centerview Road.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Kate Copeland Benson and Rena Walker, both of Savannah; sons, James Kenneth Copeland and Travis Copeland both of Savannah; sister, Martha Ann Southern of Savannah; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her; sister, Joe Kate Copeland; brothers, James, Edwin, Millard and Frank Jr.; grandchild, Ken Copeland; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Piney Grove Cemetery in Savannah, with Joe Paul Bryant officiating.
