Joe Dewitt Jennings (6-13-23) service 6-15-23

Joe DeWitt Jennings, 91, of Savannah passed away on Tuesday, June 13, the son of the late Albert DeWitt and Clytie Fitts Jennings.

He was united in marriage to Annie Mae Wilkes, who preceded her husband in death.

Mr. Jennings served his country honorably in the United States National Guard. He was self employed working in heating and air conditioning. He was a member of the Shriners and Savannah Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Jennings of Savannah, and Keith Jennings of Adamsville; three grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; and brother, Frank “Bud” Jennings of LaVergne, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Jennings Frisch; and two brothers, Dan Jennings and Marshall Emory Jennings.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 15, at New Harmony Cemetery in Savannah, with David Baker officiating.
