Jon Cossey (8-11-22) service 8-17-22

Jon Cossey, 42, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11, in Harvest, Alabama. He was born in Selmer, on July 8, 1980, the son of Penny Patricia Wisdom Young and the late Jimmy Ray Cossey.

Mr. Cossey worked as a truck driver and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Jon is survived by his children, Noah Cossey and Leah Cossey, both of Savannah; mother, Penny Young and her husband Paul of Savannah; brother, Preston Cossey; his niece, Kaile Cossey and his nephew; Jamison Cossey.

In addition to his father, Jimmy Cossey, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Hazel Wisdom, and Hardy and Ellawee Cossey.

Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, with Donnie Allen officiating.
