Kathy Handley Carroll (7-12-22) service 7-18-22

Kathy Handley Carroll, 55, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, July 12. She was born on Jan. 14, 1967, in Hardin County. She is the daughter of the late Teddy Ray and Margaret Wood Handley.

She graduated from Atwood High School in Carroll County. The family had moved to Carroll County when she was 3 years old. Katy began working with her dad at Atwood Market in her teens and helped out there off and on for several years. She worked at various jobs before moving back to Hardin County to be near family.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaitlin Carroll Wales of Huntingdon, Tennessee; her son, Caleb Cunningham, of Savannah; and two aunts, Patsy Handley Gibbs and Brooxie Summer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Margaret Handley; brother, Keith Ray Handley; grandparents, Arthur and Emma Handley; and Bud and Dexter Wood; and her lifelong companion David Cunningham.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 18, at Chase Funeral Home Chapel in Huntingdon, Tennessee.
