Lige Pickens (12-12-22) service 12-18-22

Lige Pickens, 88, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, Dec. 12. He is the son of the late Bid and Etta Mae Mitchell Pickens.

He was united in marriage to Thelma Christine McCraw Pickens, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Pickens retired from LTV Steel Mill in Hammond, Indiana, as a crane operator. He was a long time member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Pickens Bromley of Henderson, Tennessee; brother, Melvin Pickens of Hammond, Indiana; and one granddaughter.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.C. Pickens, Hassel Pickens, Ross Pickens and Curtis Pickens.

Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 18, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Ernie Cordova officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
