Lois Horton Scott Stewart, 96, of Franklin, Tennessee, formerly of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, May 18. She was born on June 24, 1926, in Savannah, the daughter of the late Frank Horton and Bessie Rose Horton Wallis.

She was married to R.C. Stewart, who preceded her in death on July 24, 2008. She was formerly married to Dudley Scott, who was the father of her daughters, Gloria (Terry) Blount of Franklin, Tennessee and Becky (Art) Lowen of Nashville, Tennessee.

As a former member of the First Baptist Church in Savannah, she never forgot her church family there. Since living in Franklin, she has attended First Presbyterian Church where she found a new church family that has supported her with love and kindness.

In addition to her daughters, she is survived by her brother Glen Wallis of Nashville. She is also survived by her much loved grandchildren, Teri Gail Blount-Burke, Jason Threet, Stephen Blount (Traci), Keith Wozniak (Jordyn Wiley) and Kathi Tuers (Chad Hintz), all from Franklin. She is also survived by her much-loved great-grandchildren Allyson Burke, Becca Blount, Hannah Blount (Emerson Mitchell) and Reid Blount, all living in Franklin. Additionally, she is survived by great-great-grandchildren, Andrew Lowen and Lydia Lowen, whom she adored.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rosella Ganus.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 21, at the Crump Cemetery in Crump.
