Mac Lambert, 79, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 4, in Florence, Alabama. He was born on Sept.13, 1943, in Hardin County, the son of the late Hubert Clive and Verdie Alice Hutton Lambert.

On Feb. 26, 1966, he was united in marriage to Rena Elizabeth Austin, who survives.

Mr. Lambert honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 until 1970. He later worked as a welder for Armco Steel.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rena Elizabeth Austin Lambert; sons, Jimmy Lambert and his wife Melanie, and Jerome Lambert and his wife Amanda; daughters, Jennifer Okiyama and her husband Paul, and Ellen White and her husband Alex; sister, Huberta Allen; brothers, Rayburn Lambert, Jack Lambert and Jimmy Lambert; grandchildren, Preston, Emma, Jay, Quentin and his wife Adriana, Caroline, Elijah, Clara, Catherine, Cora, Bailie and Camden; and great-grandchild, Liam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Alton Lambert, Charles Lambert, Tommy Lambert, Johnny Lambert, Lou Hazel Blagg, Geneva Watson, Ginger Haynes and Linda Graves.

Memorial services were held on Monday, Feb. 6, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Randy Weatherington and Donnie Allen officiating. Burial followed at Hollands Creek Cemetery in Savannah.
