Mackie Simmons (12-8-23) service 12-14-23

Mackie Nell Bain Simmons, 87, of Jackson, Tennessee, formerly of Hardin County, passed away on Friday, Dec. 8, the daughter of the late Maloy and Annie Bain.

She was united in marriage to Jack H. Simmons, who preceded his wife in death.

Mrs. Simmons retired from Parris Manufacturing, where she was a machine operator. She was an excellent housekeeper, and after her retirement she cleaned houses for various families in the community.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Nguyen; sons, Eddie Simmons and Lonnie Simmons ; stepdaughters, Jacklyn Bradley and Jimmie Lou Milgrim; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Blackwelder and Georgia Godwin; and one brother, Kenneth Bain.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14, 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Kyle Wishert officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
