Mary Bevis (7-29-22) service 8-2-22

Mary Jean Franks Bevis, 78, of Adamsville, passed away on Friday, July 29. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late John Henry and Lucille Price Franks.

She was united in marriage to Gene Edward Bevis, who preceded his wife in death on July 12, 2019.

Mrs. Bevis worked for Savannah Manufacturing Company for over 30 years and as a machine operator at Angelica Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Savannah.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda Stricklin and Vickie Rose, both of Savannah, and brother, Randy Franks of Savannah.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Gene Edward Bevis Jr.; sisters, Geraldine Alexander and Joyce Copeland; and brothers, John H. Franks, Jr. and Earlon Wayne Franks.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Neill Cemetery in Savannah, with Patrick Godwin officiating.
