Mary Lou Battles Hardin, 81, of Paducah, Kentucky, formerly of Hardin and Wayne counties, passed away on Tuesday, June 6. She was united in marriage to Hassell Hardin..

Mrs. Hardin was a member of Living Word Fellowship of Savannah and Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church in Paducah, Kentucky.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hardin Mathis of Paducah, Kentucky; son, Ricky Lynn Hardin of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Billy Joe Battles and Jerry Battles, both of Clifton, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Hasell Hardin; and her brother, Ronald Battles.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, June 10, at Living Word Fellowship in Savannah, with Ronnie Sanders and James Bevis officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
