Mary Mitchell (8-9-23) service 8-12-23

Mary Vivian Mitchell, 92, of Nolensville, Tennessee, formerly of Sardis, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Nashville, the daughter of the late Eldred and Ethel Shannon.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by three daughters, Linda Hayes of Savannah; Sheri Cotham, of Nolensville, Tennessee; and Sandra Peppers, of Smyrna, Tennessee.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Carla (Brian) Moyer, Katie Hays, Christi (Mark) Hale, and Lisa Hays; and four great-grandchildren, Kenna Moyer, Crockett Hale, Everly Moyer and Hutton Hays.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Mitchell; two sisters, Nell Foust and Jo Millis; four brothers, Paul, Roy, Ralph and Kenneth Shannon.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Liberty Methodist Church in Scotts Hill. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Scotts Hill.
