Naomi Jones Pevahouse, 84, of Savannah, passed away Tuesday, April 4, in Jackson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Arden B. and Amy Idealy English Murphy.

She was united in marriage to Willie Chesley Pevahouse Sr., who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pevahouse worked for a garment factory and owned a worm ranch. She started Faith and Grace Church with her husband.

She is survived her daughters, Jo Ann Franks, Oma Jean Farr, Debra Evans and Teresa Branum; son, Charles Ray Jones; brother, Jerry Wayne Murphy; sisters, Goldie Dean Couch and Faye Terry; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Lee Jones; sister, Katherine Brown; brothers, Junior Murphy and Loyd Raymond Murphy; and one grandchild.

Memorial services were held on Friday, April 7, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Roger Evans officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Savannah.
