Neita Coffman (7-13-22) service 7-23-22

Neita Joyce Coffman, 77, of Adamsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, at her residence in Clearwater, Florida. She is the daughter of the late Ray Irby and Marie Irons Petty.

Mrs. Coffman was united in marriage to Billy Mitchell Coffman, who preceded her in death.

Neita was a teacher for 30 years, teaching at North Elementary in Savannah, and Michie Elementary in Michie. Neita was a member of First Baptist Church in Adamsville, and attended Calvary Church in Clearwater, Florida. Neita was also a member of the Island Estates Woman’s Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Angie Ricketts of Clearwater, Florida; two grandchildren; and brother, Larry Neal Petty of Adamsville.

Neita was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Irby, Marie Petty, and Ross Petty, and her husband Billy Mitchell Coffman.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville, with Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Adamsville Cemetery in Adamsville.
