Nellie Mae Riley Franks, 90, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27. She was born on Aug. 7, 1932 in Clifton, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Charlie Otis and Bessie Eloise Smith Riley.

Mrs. Franks worked for Angelica Corporation and was a member of Love and Truth Church in Savannah. She loved quilting, painting, collecting rocks, and going square dancing.

She is survived by her daughters, Pattie Kiddy and her husband Mike and Claudia Holland and her husband Jeff; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Billy Joe Franks and James Ricky Franks; daughter, Karen Joy Pevahouse; sisters, Pauline Stacy, Ruth Starnes, and Bonnie Pevahouse; brothers, Claude Riley, Willie E. Riley, and Ralph Riley; and the father of her children, Joe C. Franks.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Love and Truth Church in Savannah, from 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.
