Norma ‘Jo’ McKelvey Tenry, 92, of Morris Chapel, passed away on Thursday, May 4, in Lebanon, Tennessee, the daughter of Ed and Zelma McKelvey.

She was united in marriage to Malcom Knoz Tenry.

Mrs. Tenry graduated from Morris Chapel High School as Valedictorian. She was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, where she played piano and organ, lead he youth, taught Sunday School and served on various local and conference church committees. She taught piano lessons and also worked at Farm Bureau and Savannah Carpet.

She is survived by her children, Steve Tenry of Belton, South Carolina, Lynn Tenry of Savannah, and Pam Belcher of Nashville; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, May 10, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Thad Calton and Prentiss Burdine officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Enville, Tennessee.
