Peggy Joyce Hinton Churchwell, 88, of Milledgeville, passed away on Saturday, June 11, the daughter of the late Charles Edwin Hinton and Mabel Barker Hinton. She was united in marriage to Teddy Churchwell, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Churchwell graduated from Central High School in Savannah. She worked for the IRS in Memphis for many years. Along with her husband, she operated several businesses including a campground in Missouri. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Eddie Paul Churchwell.
She is survived by her brothers, Don, Larry and David.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 3 p.m., at Milledgeville Cemetery in Milledgeville.
