Peggy Ann Willoughby Land, 91, of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8. She was born in Jackson, Tennessee on July 11, 1932, the daughter of the late Chester Lee and Daisy DeBerry Willoughby.

On June 17, 1977, she was united in marriage to the late Charles Land.

Peggy was retired from Coca-Cola Bottle Company. After returning to Savannah, she obtained her real estate license and sold real estate for several years. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

She is survived by her nephew, Robert Wood; and niece, Suzanne Williams, who have cared for her. She is also survived by nieces, Cindy Martin, Kathy McCullar, Mandy Tarkington, Jami Campbell, Beth McGee and Linda Reeves; and nephews, Lee Willoughby, David Willoughby and Eddie Harrison. She is also survived by a stepson, Mike Land; and grandchildren, Michael Land Jr., Matthew Land, Kyle Land and Katie Land Hall.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Willoughby; sisters, Zubie Harrison, Patsy McCullar and Betty Rowen; and niece, Cheri Kozlowski.

Peggy is also survived by her Riverwick staff and residents that were her family for many years.

Memorial services were held on Monday, Nov. 13, at Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah, with Eric Smith officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
