Randy Herschel Hester (9-27-22) service 9-30-22

Randy Joe (Herschel) Hester, 57, of Finger, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27. He was born Oct. 23, 1964 in Memphis, the son of Ray A. Hester and the late Betty Jo Hester.

He was known to many family and friends as, Herschel. He worked for over 29 years at Aqua Glass in Adamsville. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR, especially his favorites of Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott. He was the one-man pit crew at the go-carts and stock car races with his longtime friend, Tim Knight.

Mr. Hester was baptized at Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them and his daughters.

He is survived by two daughters, Randa Hawkins and husband J.T., Abbey Landreth and husband Patrick; three grandchildren, John Thomas and Hayes Henry Hawkins and Rylan Rivers Landreth; father, Ray A. Hester; sister, Paula Chandler and husband James; brother, Ricky Hester and wife Christine; special nephew, Matt Hester and wife Erica along with their daughter, Ryleigh; nephew, Nic Chandler; fur baby, Bella.

Services were held on Friday, Sept. 30, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, with Ben Martin officiating. Burial followed at Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.
