Randy Scites, 64, of Hookers Bend, Tennessee, passed away in Waverly, Tennessee, on Saturday, Oct. 15. He was born on Dec. 28, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Mary Scites and the late William Scites.

On April 14, 1979, he was united in marriage to Kay Enwiller, who survives.

Mr. Scites honorably served his country from 1975-1996 in the United States Navy, specializing in anti-submarine warfare. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Savannah, The National Rifle Association of America and the Boy Scouts of America, where he was Scout Master of Troop #362.

He enjoyed going fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was also a gunsmith and built and worked on guns.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Scites of Hookers Bend, Tennessee; sons, Christopher Scites of Orlando, Florida and Matthew Scites and his wife Candace of St. Augustine, Florida; daughter, Jessica Decker and her husband Jason of Ft. Knox, Kentucky; mother, Mary Scites of St. Petersburg, Florida; brother, Roger Scites of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandchildren, Aaron Decker, Emily Decker, William Scites, and Finnick Scites; and nephews, Steven Scites of McDonough, Georgia, Daniel Scites of San Diego, California, and Nicholas Zalky of Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition to his father, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Scites.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1:00 p.m., at New Prospect Baptist Church in Hardin County, Tennessee, with Wade Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Morris Chapel, Tennessee.
