Ricky J Daniels was born in Savannah, Tennessee, on January 12, 1959, to JL “Blackie” and Susie Daniels. He was a graduate of Central High School’s Class of 1977 and completed additional studies at Northeast Mississippi Community College. On September 13, 1986, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Hara Pierce Daniels.

Most of his friends and hometown community will remember him from his time as Owner of Rick’s Quik-Pick Convenience Store from 1985 to 1995. He later worked for over 27 years in retail operations for the oil and convenience store industry.

Ricky loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Alabama football. However, as his friends and co-workers would attest, he expressed the most joy when talking about his beautiful wife, Hara, and their four children: Nathan, Alexandra, Jakob, and Richmand.

Ricky departed this life on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at his home and in the arms of his sons. While he departed his earthly life too soon, we find peace in knowing that Ricky had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior. In times of uncertainty, he would speak of the blessings in his life and how faith would sustain his family.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, JL Daniels.

He is survived by his mother, Susie Daniels, of Savannah, Tennessee; his wife, Hara Daniels, and their children; Nathan Daniels, Alexandra Mitchell and her husband Tyler, Jakob Daniels, and Richmand Daniels, all of Savannah, Tennessee; his sister, Debbie Clausel and her husband Melvin, of Savannah, Tennessee; and his nephews, Chris and Brian Clausel, of Jackson, Tennessee.

Ricky is also survived by cousins, friends, and his Yorkie who was always at his side, Jasper.

Services were held on Wednesday, June 28, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, Tennessee, with Carter Carroll and Kirk Carroll officiating. Burial followed at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah.
