Ronald Garland (12-6-22) no service to announce

Ronald W. Garland, 80, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6, the son of the late Robert William and Thelma Anita McGee Garland.

He was united in marriage to Shelia Ingram Garland, who survives.

Mr. Garland honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Naval photographer and later served as a photographer for the Armed Forces Radio. He then worked as an agent for John Hancock Mutual Funds.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Clersia Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; son, Ronald Garland of New York, New York; stepdaughters, Christina Long of Marion, Arkansas, Jennifer Dozier of Phoenix, Arizona, and Kimberly Jones of Memphis, Tennessee; sister, Donna Loughter of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by three brothers.
