Ronnie Kiddy (1-12-23) service 1-16-23

Ronnie Kiddy, 68, of Selmer, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, in Corinth, Mississippi. He was born on Oct. 23, 1954, in Selmer, the son of Wilma Ruth Kiser Dunaway and the late John William Kiddy.

He was united in marriage to Mary Katherine Franks on June 28, 1974. He was a loving husband for 48 years, a devoted Papaw who rarely, if ever, missed a ballgame, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Kiddy worked for 19 years at Phillips 66 in Selmer and for 31 years at Schefenacker/ITT. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Katherine Kiddy of Selmer; two sons, Wes Kiddy and wife Toni of Adamsville, Ryan Kiddy of Tupelo, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Peyton, Kiersten and Ryder Kiddy; mother, Wilma Kiser Dunaway of Selmer; a brother, Roger Kiddy and wife Patricia of Selmer; nephew, James Kiddy of Memphis; and a host of extended family and friends.

Services were held on Monday, Jan. 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, with Chuck Castles officiating. Burial followed at Clear Creek Cemetery in Selmer, Tennessee.
