Ryan J. Austin (7-31-22) service 8-19-22

Ryan J. Austin, 50, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, July 31. He was born on Dec. 30, 1971, in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of Nancy Lumpkin and the late Benny Austin.

Ryan owned Hillbilly Turf Sod Company and enjoyed working in the sod fields with his niece, Isabella, and nephew, Ben. He loved dogs and being outdoors, and enjoyed making and operating remote control airplanes and drones, riding his motorcycle and hunting with his nephew, Ben.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Lumpkin; stepmother, Greta Austin; brothers, Benjamin Chad Austin and his wife Amy, and Garrick Smith; niece, Isabella Austin; nephew, Ben Austin; special friend, Kristi Williams; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his father, Benny Austin Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Carrie Lumpkin, and Warren and Elsie Austin.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 19, 6 p.m., at Northside Baptist Church in Savannah, with Jason Martindale officiating.
