Thomas Hensel (12-3-22) no service date to announce

Thomas Edward Hensel, 68, of Adamsville, formerly from Winchester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Dec. 3. He was born on Aug. 14, 1954, the son of John and Anna (Solasz) Hensel.

He was married to his wife Janet (Roberts) for 46 years. Their two sons, Mark and wife Lori, Matthew and wife Ann, were the beneficiaries of Tom and Janet’s hard work ethic and love.

Mr. Hensel graduated from Pioneer Valley Regional School in 1974. He retired after 35 years as a heavy and highway construction laborer, carpenter and superintendent. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved anything related to the outdoors. After moving from New Hampshire to Adamsville, he took up haying and took immense pride in producing and selling top quality hay to many local horse and cow owners. He was the owner/operator of “Mr. Tom’s Hay” in Adamsville.

He had a sister, Charlotte Diotte; and three brothers, John, Joe and Jim. He also has two nieces and two nephews, Michelle Diotte, Christy Astleford, Jeff Hensel and Daniel Hensel.
