Tony Scott, 75, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, Sept. 25, in Corinth, Mississippi. He was born on Dec. 02, 1947, in Hardin County, the son of the late Hayes and Ruby Brown Scott.

On Jan. 7, 1971, he was united in marriage to Patricia Mae White Scott, who survives.

Tony retired in 2012 from The Tennessee Highway Patrol where he worked as a Sergeant State Trooper since 1978. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Savannah, the Henderson Masonic Lodge, and the American Association of State Troopers. He loved to coach his son Tim in baseball and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Scott of Savannah; son, Tim Scott of Nashville; sisters, Diane Phillips (Hal) of Corinth, Mississippi, and Linda Shelby of Crump; brothers, Cecil Scott (Alesia) of Savannah, and Douglas Scott (Doris) of Corinth, Mississippi; grandchildren, Mason Scott and Slade Scott; and two daughters-in-law, Jennifer Scott of Henderson, Tennessee, and Tracey Scott of Adamsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Scott; and brothers, James Hayes Scott and Dee Scott.

Memorial services were held on Thursday, Sept. 28, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah in Savannah, with Mike Kelley officiating. Burial followed at Crump Baptist Church Cemetery in Savannah.
