Troy “Bean” Brown, 68, of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, July 27. He was born on July 26, 1954, in Savannah, the son of the late Andrew and Ollie Mae Ward Brown.

On Dec. 31, 1973, he was united in marriage to Peggy Meyers, who survives.

Troy was self employed in the retail industry. He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Savannah and The Rebel Group in Linden, Tennessee. Troy enjoyed taking drives to sightsee and watch the wildlife and eagles. He loved fishing, rock hunting, camping, traveling with family members, playing cards with family and friends, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Brown of Savannah; sons, Jeffery Brown and Brian Brown, both of Savannah; sisters, Mary Snodgrass and Judy Faye Beckham, both of Savannah; brother, Roger Brown of Savannah; grandchildren, Ryan Davison, Keith (Peewee) Brown, Justin Brown, Andrea Brown, Alana Brown and Ember Brown; and great-grandchild, Presley Grace Brown.

In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his sister, Johnnie Mae Garlin and brother, Andrew Brown, Jr.

Services were held on Friday, July 29, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Savannah, with Ernie Cordova, Tim York and Jimmy Horner officiating. Burial followed at Neill Cemetery in Savannah.
